Olenox to merge with Brazil's CS Digital, targeting low cost Bitcoin mining and AI data center opportunities
Bitcoin mining Companies may experience a renaissance as they use new unconventional approaches to maximize investment performance while reducing operating costs.
Olenox, a Nasdaq-listed company that provides oil and gas energy services and other energy technologies, has announced that it may merge with CS Digital Ventures, a company that provides custom bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
The merger, which values CS Digital Ventures at $55 million, will be completed across multiple divisions and anticipates what CS Digital CEO Bernardo Schuckman calls “Bitcoin's third era of mining.”
Explaining the meaning of the word:
“I believe 2026 could mark the beginning of a new phase: the large-scale development of off-grid data centers built close to the power point, generating and using power under certain conditions at a cost of $0.02 per kilowatt.”
Because the acquired company operates in areas where power is limited and where there is no transmission infrastructure to transport it to the grid, these affordable energy charges can be achieved.
“Our alliance with Olenox is aimed at pursuing that opportunity and building what we believe will be the leading platform in the expansion of off-grid mining. Our ambitions are high, and so is the opportunity in front of us,” Schuckman said.
These types of initiatives are now on the rise, with one of Brazil's largest banks, Etau, recently investing in Minter, which designs and operates mobile bitcoin mining solutions at power plants. But a combined company between Olenox and CS Digital will have the advantage of combining Olenox's energy platform with CS Digital's capabilities to integrate the energy generation function of the equation.
