Alphatone Capital, which focuses on Telegram's Tonnet network, has announced a $46 million deal to acquire 576 NVIDIA B300 GPUs, the largest AI compute to date. The stock was up 107% by midday on Tuesday after the news.
Half of the cluster is set to be commissioned in February and will be hosted by Sweden's 100% hydropower facility. The company's deployment will generate 27% IRR and 282% ROI, with revenues expected to begin in March.
Alphatone's infrastructure powers Telegram's Cocoon AI network to protect privacy, providing a decentralized alternative to mainstream technology platforms. The project will be financed through a combination of on-balance sheet cash, non-recourse debt and tiered equity.
CEO Brittany Keizer said the company is building demand for sovereign and secret computing into a $7 trillion AI market.
