Crypto poised for ‘dozens of small wins’ by 2025: Grayscale exec
While the crypto industry had “two big wins” with spot cryptocurrencies and Republican Donald Trump's US election victory last year, 2025 will see a number of “small wins,” according to a Grayscale executive.
“This year, I'm expecting dozens of small wins for the industry,” Grayscale managing director Zach Pandle said in a recent webinar, citing greater institutional adoption, more comprehensive legislation from Congress and the possibility of Bitcoin (BTC). American reserve property.
When asked by Rick Edelman, founder of the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals, in a Jan. 15 interview, Pandl said it's “not completely crazy” to think bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2030.
More institutional adoption could come from pension and endowment funds, Pandl said, meeting more crypto-enthusiast fund managers who have largely ignored the industry for a decade.
“It was easy. [for them] They tried to ignore it, dismiss it, or put it aside for decades, but they all realize they can't do that now.
Many pension and philanthropic funds have already started the process to include crypto in their portfolios, and some approvals could be just six to 12 months away, according to Pandle.
Pandl says some portfolio managers have allocated up to 5% in crypto, even though they are still “in the process of dipping a toe in.”

Pandle also expects sovereign wealth funds to increase their exposure to crypto outside of the US in the coming months.
Pandle talked about Ethereum's great potential for institutional adoption, calling it one of the most important open source software projects out there.
Decentralized finance, real-world assets and artificial intelligence tokens could attract institutional attention through private funds, Pandle added.
Pandle's optimism comes five days before Trump's inauguration. The president of the United States is expected to have the most pro-crypto administration to date.
