Despite having hundreds of thousands of social media followers, anonymous crypto trader Daan CryptoTrades doesn't want to pretend to be famous. He only focuses on publishing posts analyzing crypto charts.
“I don't really care because people know exactly who I am,” CryptoTrades' Diane told Hall of Flames. It turns out that the cagey crypto influencer is based somewhere in the Netherlands.
His real name or age? That is set to remain a mystery. “I'm not sure if it's wise for me to say these things,” he laughs as we turn off the camera and go online for about an hour.
After some nudity, Daan is revealed to be in the “20-30-year-old” age bracket.
But he keeps his hobbies, his interests and all that stuff under wraps. With 371,900 followers on X, it must be hard not to brag about dating apps.
Those closest to him, however, know all about Diane CryptoTrades. “It's not really a secret that I can't tell my real friends and family about it, so that's good,” he said.
Diane is a soft-spoken guy and probably a gym buff, considering his rigorous fitness routine. He divides his time between the gym, crypto trading and managing the endless number of messages he receives every day.
“I usually wake up, read Discord and Telegram chats because they've piled up messages overnight, then eat some breakfast and go to the gym,” he says of his morning routine.
When he returns to his computer, he usually finds that he has been sent spam from offers from crypto exchanges.
“Every day there are these same exchanges, ‘We want to work with you. We've got some great affiliate bonuses,' and I've turned down the same exchanges a hundred times,” he laughs.
Diane works with exchanges, but is picky about it. He only deals with those he uses himself and has zero interest in promoting what he does not trade himself.
One of the things you'll often see slip into his posts on X is his partnership with Bybit.

Diane thinks wearing the professor's hat boosted X's following during the 2021 bull run. “It is these academic disciplines that have inspired my brand more than ever. I have done most of them in 2021,” he explains.

Instead of typing out responses to each question, he creates a long thread that he can send them, like he has a ready-made library of content.
“I was going to post something about market structure, for example, and then I'm always like, ‘Okay, what is market structure?' There will be comments. He laughs.
It seems to have worked well as he grew his following within two months.
“I think I got 30k followers for two months when I was at 20k or 30k.”
The library and content will continue to be used as the same requests are repeated.
“I still do it sometimes, but not as much because I always get the same questions about relatively basic things,” he explains.
“Whenever people ask questions, I can refer to them, and it gives me a huge library of topics,” he adds.
What kind of content does Daan Crypto Trades like?
Daan is not big on getting into a crypto project or being too bullish. He likes to keep it balanced with his technical analysis.
“I generally try to be as neutral as possible in my approach,” he says, explaining that the content is primarily general market analysis.
“I would say mostly just the Bitcoin or Ethereum chart is where I think we're going,” he says.
If you are looking for someone to guide you in making lots of money in crypto with futures trading, Diane is not your man.
“If you want me to go long or go short, you don't have to follow me because I don't think it's my thing,” Dan added.

“I don't like to be so polarized; So even if I have a slight bias, I always try to be impartial. It shines a little, but nothing on the extreme side,” he asserts.
“In some of those trades, they love you when you're right and hate you when you're wrong,” he laughs.
What kind of content does Daan Crypto Trades like?
Daan reveals that he is “mostly interested” in high-profile crypto traders who share insights into how they think about their businesses and how to execute them.
“I think it's very important because obviously these guys are the top 0.1% out there and they're not doing it for the money because they're obviously doing well, which is easily visible on the ByBit leaderboards,” he says.
Two of his favorite companies are also unknown to the crypto world: DeFi Squared and High Stakes Capital. The latter The now defunct crypto exchange FTX has reached the top of the profit and loss leaderboard in 2020.
Daan Crypto Business Predictions?
Daan said he is very bullish on the Bitcoin Layer-2 network stack (STX) native token this coming cycle.
The stack — which Daan holds in his own portfolio — is currently trading at $2.02, and Daan believes “$3.5 to $5” isn't off the cards.
But if bitcoin doubles in value, altcoins will often double, potentially a 4X increase, Diane says. So, if that's the case, Stax could reach $8.
“I'm bad at these long-term price predictions,” he laughs.
It is not big to throw long-term forecasts. He further analyzes the current chart trends and uses them for overall adoption forecasts.
“I worry more about the narrative and whether the project itself will get adopted or do well in the cycle,” he said.
By the second half of 2025, Diane sees Bitcoin hitting $120,000 and Ether reaching $10,000. He believes this is likely to happen as the price cycle picks up.
