Eluvium and Team Liquid partner to bring the blockchain game to the mainstream
Eluvium in partnership with Team Liquid has announced the Early Access release of the game Eluvium: Arena. The partnership with esports platform sees streamers limit-testing Eluvium: Arena's competitive modes. Fans will also have access to a limited group of Liquid Digital Collections called Iluvitars.
Illuvium, a decentralized gaming platform on Ethereum, has partnered with heavyweight team Liquid to test the limits of the Early Access release of the game Illuvium: Arena.
In an announcement earlier this week, Eluvium said its partnership with Group Liquid is a key step in bringing blockchain gaming to a mainstream audience.
Team Liquid is the top esports team with over $47 million in prize winnings, and Illuvium (ILV) is one of the GameFi projects in the crypto gaming industry.
Team Liquid streams to try out the Eluvium: Arena game
During the Early Access phase, integration with Team Liquid will see you explore and try out eight streams of Eluvium: Arena Game's competitive modes – Auto Battler and Overworld. Participating in the auto battle game are Midbest, Brox, and Snodyboo.
Currently specializing in Teamfight Tactics, Hearthstone and League of Legends, the streamers showcase Arena's competitive mode to their audience. Illuvium believes that this integration will “help correct the perception that blockchain games are inferior to the quality and appeal of traditional AAA titles.”
Commenting on this and what the partnership with Team Liquid means for the blockchain game, Illuvium Founder and CEO Kieran Warwick said:
“Overcoming the skepticism surrounding blockchain games is critical, and the way forward is in providing unique gaming experiences. Our collaboration with Team Liquid is a milestone in demonstrating that blockchain games, including those with NFTs, can provide engaging and immersive gaming experiences similar to traditional games.”
Fans can get Illuvitars
Illuvium has an immersive gaming experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) and intangible tokens (NFTs) in the gaming universe Illuvium: Zero, Illuvium: Overworld, Illuvium: Beyond and Illuvium: Arena.
Players can trade in-game assets for real-world currency on the gaming platform marketplace IlluviDEX. Integration with the Layer-2 platform ImmutableX allows for peer-to-peer trading and zero gas fees.
By teaming up with Team Liquid, fans have access to Illuvitars, limited edition Team Liquid digital collectibles. Illuvitars are in high demand for their ability to unlock unique in-game features in the Illuvium universe.
Attendees will be available from December 12.
Illuvium has previously partnered with retail giant GameStop, and this release comes after three years of development and a $60 million investment.
It also follows Eluvium's listing on the EPIC Store, placing the blockchain game alongside major titles such as Fortnite, Destiny 2, and Assassin's Creed.
