Ens Labs Partners With Dentistry Real-World Testimonials For The Web3

ENS laboratoriesThe company behind the open-source blockchain naming protocol; Ethereum name serviceis cooperating with ToothacheA leading digital identity provider, to integrate verified credentials on-chain.

The new integration will allow ENS users to link their on-chain identities to their real-world identities, giving them the power to determine the scope of the information they share, the companies announced in a statement Wednesday.

The development could have major implications for online identity in the future. Users of ENS can exercise control over publicly accessible personally identifiable information by ensuring that such information is not kept on chain.

Khori Whittaker, CEO of ENS Labs, pointed out how the two companies are trying to bridge the gap between on-chain and off-chain identities by enabling users to have one true digital identity.

“With Dentity, ENS is expanding the capabilities of Web3 naming, enabling on-chain identities to be realized and used across multiple applications,” said Whittar. “By connecting real-world identities to people on the chain, Web3 users can have verified identities to access real-world services without sacrificing decentralization.”

Similarly, dental users can link their identity credentials to their ENS domain using the newly developed integration path.

“The next billion blockchain users will not be crypto-natives and may not even know they're on the chain,” said Jeffrey Schwartz, founder and CEO of DENTT.

These users explained that they use services that require real-world identity verification, such as educational credentials, professional licenses and health care records.

“Sophisticated DeFi or traditional financial services require real-world proof of identity beyond what anonymous or anonymous blockchain transactions can provide,” Schwartz said in a statement.

By connecting digital and physical identities, this integration will help implement Web3 technologies across multiple sectors.

In July, 14,997 .eth names were registered, a 25.5% decrease from the 20,131 registrations in June. Data It shows.

The registration count also shows a 48% drop from May's peak of 28,949 registrations.

The surge in registrations underscores the importance of initiatives like the ENS-Dentity partnership in an attempt to grow ENS domains to a wider user base.

Monday, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin registered A new Ethereum name service domain named “dacc.eth” for 0.187 ETH, worth approximately $500.

The move comes ahead of Buterin's upcoming talk on “defensive urgency” at the X Spaces Discovery event scheduled for Aug. 22.
