Internet computer token ICP traded to a high of $2.58 to extend gains. As the price of crypto rose, so did the benefits. Although risks of a sharp pullback remain, ICP may target $4.00 or higher.

Internet Computer (ICP) price retested the supply zone above $2.50 as bulls neared a seven-day low near $2.

The retest comes amid broader recovery efforts in the cryptocurrency market, with ICP among the day's top altcoin earners.

With prices up 9% in the last 24 hours, and volume up 93% to over $125 million, bulls are likely to target resistance at the top.

The price of an Internet computer has risen above $2.50.

ICP is currently up about 9% in the last 24 hours, and its price is down from its all-time high.

But with a push from the lows to $2, bulls seem to have more of an outlook.

Broader market sentiment for ICP Glass saw Bitcoin test highs near $70,000 amid Nvidia-driven risk appetite.

AI Narrative also pushed tokens like NEAR, Bittensor and Render.

The $2.58 high rise Internet Computer Token trade is finally seen at levels seen in mid-February.

ICP price technical drawing

From a technical point of view, ICP's test of the $2.50 barrier could prove to be critical.

The price action shows buyer interest, and a breakout from a long-term downtrend may strengthen.

Bulls must now successfully hold above this level to confirm a bullish reversal pattern.

The upside targets include resistance at $3.21 and $4.00, a key confirmation of volume for buyer guilt.

The RSI on the daily chart suggests bulls may have room to test bear resistance, while the MACD indicates potential strength.

But the price is below key averages, and the shape of the 50- and 100-day simple moving averages is showing resistance above that.

If the price declines from current levels, strong support is at $2.00 and the October 10 low of $1.98.

The token has changed hands at around $2.41 at the time of writing.

Key idea of ICP

ICP is on the rise, especially during the Internet computer's recent Tokinomics reform proposal.

In the plan, the DFINITY Foundation wants to introduce revenue-backed combustion, where 20% of the cloud engine fees will be deducted from the usage-based node rewards.

This directly ties the reduction in ICP provisioning to network demand, a mechanism that allocates 80% of Cloud Engine revenue to node providers.

In this case, Internet Computing wants to shift from fixed subsidies to performance-linked incentives, a model that mirrors other chains focused on cloud computing.
