On October 18, an anonymous crypto pundit suggested that THORChain may soon integrate with Binance's Web3 wallet, a self-governing crypto wallet that operates within the Binance platform.

While not directly confirming the speculation, Torchein founder Jon-Paul Thorjornsen – who goes by “JP THOR” on X – said in response, “This is just the beginning.”

The partnership with Ledger comes a month after THORChaion announced a major merger with the decentralized finance network Rujira Alliance – a new ecosystem created when Rujira merged with several of its major ecosystem projects.

On September 10, Kujira merged with its three partners – Fusion, Unstake and Wink – to create the Rujira Alliance, a new application layer for THORChain.

At the time, Torjornsen told Cointelegraph that the new application layer was not “another small project” but a new DeFi “behemoth” that could one day rival Solana in terms of consumption and volume.
