Major partners to join the upcoming Aleph Zero CTRL+Hack+ZK Hackathon

The wholly-owned hybrid arrangement of Deutsche Telekom, SCC Bahrain, Hartcore Capital, Arca Finance, Cardinal Cryptography and others in partnership with Telecom MMS offers multiple tracks of up to $575K in grant and funding opportunities.

The Aleph Zero Foundation, committed to the advancement and adoption of the Aleph Zero Blockchain, today announced the launch of CTRL+Hack+ZK, a comprehensive hackathon event. From January 10th to January 31st, 2024, this event will actually take place. CTRL+Hack+ZK represents Aleph Zero's most immersive hacking event designed to inspire innovation and collaboration in the blockchain space.

CTRL+Hack+ZK invites developers, both experienced and new to Web3, to immerse themselves in a three-week virtual hacking experience. Participants will participate in rust and color! Workshops, educational programs, as well as practical consulting with Aleph Zero core development team and ecosystem partners.

Previous Aleph Zero hackathons have been home to success stories like AZERO.ID and Syncra, which are integral to the Aleph Zero ecosystem. CTRL+Hack+ZK provides a launching pad for developers to turn their creative ideas into reality by giving projects the chance to integrate into the growing Aleph Zero ecosystem.

Top-line partnerships and opportunities

The hackathon partners include MMS Telecom, wholly owned Deutsche Telekom, Saudi Telecom Bahrain, idOS, Cardinal Cryptography, Generative Ventures, Heartcore Capital, WW Ventures, Blockchain Founders Capital and Buidlers Tribe. Additionally, Franklin Templeton Investments, Block54, RR2 Capital and other affiliates will serve as Hackathon judges, providing participants with greater exposure opportunities.

Groups of existing Aleph Zero ecosystem partners will share their experiences, providing practical insights and lessons that can guide hackathon newcomers to develop their own projects within the ecosystem.

Fostering creativity in various tracks

With prizes ranging from $2K to $20K USD from a $75K USD pool, as well as the opportunity to fast-track up to $500K in subsequent funding, the hackathon tracks include:

Telco: This track invites developers to transform the telecom sector by leveraging Aleph Zero's advanced tools, optimizing existing infrastructure and conceptualizing new services. DeFi: Developers are encouraged to build unique DeFi solutions and services within Aleph Zero's privacy-focused framework. DED: This track explores identity solutions that leverage Aleph Zero's native privacy stack and interoperable tool library to enable secure and decentralized identity management. Gaming: Participants are encouraged to creatively employ Aleph Zero to develop NFT-based in-game objects, enhance game development through Aleph Zero's unique libraries, design smart contracts for in-game transactions and collectors, and build game indexes. Tools and Infrastructure: This track focuses on developing applications, node providers, libraries and tools that improve the developer experience and ecosystem around Aleph Zero.

Schedule and details of participation

The hackathon kicks off on January 10 at the Aleph Zero Ecosystem Town Hall, followed by a series of workshops, intensive hacking sessions and a demo day. Winners On February 5th, awards, mentoring opportunities and inclusion in the Aleph Zero Ecosystem Funding Program, which to date has distributed nearly $4M in grants to a variety of teams and products.
