Shiba Inu integrates Zama FHE for Shibarium to increase privacy
The Shiba Inu ecosystem is expanding its capabilities by incorporating Zama's Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHA) technology.
This move enhances privacy by providing users with a secure and verifiable experience while maintaining transparency in blockchain transactions.
Shibarium's cryptographic update has set a new standard for secure DeFi transactions.
Kaal Dhairya, a key developer in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, recently announced his partnership with Zama in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Zama, a crypto-source cryptography firm, is working with the Shiba Inu team to integrate its FHE technology into the ecosystem.
“My protocol team is working closely with ZAMA's incredibly talented team to bring this amazing vision directly to the CyberArmy and Shibarium and beyond, ensuring we all benefit from next-level privacy and innovation together,” he said.
Zama CEO Rand Hindy said the FHE-powered virtual machine (fhEVM) allows smart contracts to securely operate on encrypted data without changing existing blockchain protocols.
This finding solves a key challenge in blockchain technology, where public networks prioritize transparency but lack privacy, while private chains offer privacy but less verifiability.
fhEVM introduces encrypted transactions, configurable features and programmable privacy. When smart contracts process encrypted data, these functions ensure that validators cannot access sensitive data.
Additionally, access controls are fully managed on-chain, and operations are organized to improve performance without disrupting the user or developer experience.
“Our goal is to make everything encrypted end-to-end on the chain: from secret tokens to swaps, governance, identity, AI.. everything will be possible, even leading countries on the chain,” Hindi said.
The integration of Zama FHE technology demonstrates Shiba Inu's commitment to innovation, privacy and security. By embracing these developments, the ecosystem strengthens its position as a leader in blockchain development.
Meanwhile, this development comes as Shiba Inu Ecosystem Shibarium's official Layer-2 blockchain is underway.
According to data from ShibariumScan, the network has surpassed 620 million transactions and now boasts over 2 million wallets. In particular, the network has seen increased user activity on Shibarium over the past few months, with increased participation in various DeFi protocols.
These achievements cement Shibarium's position as a growing hub in the decentralized space and attract the attention of the broader crypto community. Shiba Inu is the second largest meme coin in the crypto industry and has seen its value grow by around 70% in the past month.
