Infrastructure for private transfers
The Starale Group announced April 28 that it has selected Sunnyside Labs Privacy Enhancement as the official privacy partner for the Starale app, marking the protocol's first consumer-facing integration. Crypto platform. Privacy Enhancement is distributed directly on Soneium. blockchain Developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, and incorporated into the app to provide self-managed, onchain privacy features.
Designed as a gateway to the onchain economy, the app supports asset management, payments, micro-apps and ecosystem rewards. The partnership aims to address transparency issues in blockchain transactions, where balances, amounts and collateral are visible by default.
According to a press release, Privacy Boost uses zero-knowledge authentication and trusted execution environments to generate proof of private transactions in less than 500 milliseconds and pass more than 1,800 transactions per second. The system maintains user control while allowing selective auditing for compliance.
“Not every transaction should be private, but every user should have a choice,” said Sota Watanabe, CEO of Statale Group. “With privacy enhancements integrated into the Starale app, when privacy matters, users can turn it on.”
Privacy Enhancement deploys the entire protocol stack on Sony, including smart contracts and TEE infrastructure, making private transactions available to developers as a native capability. In the Starale app, the integration allows for the future use of cryptcards designed to secure assets into private pools, private transfers and privacy-protected payment flows.
“Startale is hard at work bringing privacy to consumer crypto, from daily payments and card spending to mini-apps. These are the use cases Privacy Enhancer was built for – high-performance privacy at consumer scale,” said Tam Park, co-founder and CEO of Sunnyside Labs.
The integration is expected to expand alongside the Starale app, adding new payment flows, mini-apps and ecosystem features to include privacy in user interactions.
