Ripple has built the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to modernize cross-border payments, giving banks and financial institutions a better alternative to the slow and expensive SWIFT.
Last week, Ripple announced its plan to bring TradFi on-chain out of institutional-level fees and token infrastructure and offer it as an XRP token.
Prominent organizations, including the United Nations Capital Development Fund and the White House, have already highlighted the effectiveness of XRP, strengthening its importance in global financial discourse.
In 2020, XRP rose to a new all-time high (ATH) of $3.65 in mid-2025 after winning an SEC lawsuit alleging that Ripple was selling XRP as an unauthorized security. Since then, the risk-on sentiment in the markets has pushed XRP down about 62% to settle around $1.43.
The latest change came when US regulators approved spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), allowing institutional and retail investors to gain exposure through regulated vehicles.

However, if the Trump administration moves forward with its proposal for a US strategic bitcoin reserve, bitcoin could realistically target the $250,000 mark by the end of this year.
Even in the absence of major policy stimulus, Bitcoin has set several new highs in 2025 and may attempt to reclaim its previous high of $126,080 before the end of the current quarter.
Often described as “digital gold,” Bitcoin continues to draw interest from institutional and retail investors, many of whom see it as a long-term store of value.
Bitcoin currently accounts for more than $1.4 trillion of the total crypto market capitalization of $2.4 trillion, highlighting its role as the backbone of the crypto market.

Ethereum ($ETH) remains the world's largest decentralized finance and the largest Web3 hub, backed by a market capitalization of around $244 billion.
With $56 billion locked up in its applications, Ethereum remains the most commercially active blockchain.
On a strong note, ETH may surpass the $4,946 ATH recorded last August and push through the $5,000 resistance area in March.
A confirmed breakout could pave the way for a rally to $7,500 before the end of Q2, representing a 3.5x increase from the $2,042 close.
Looking ahead, Ethereum's chances of reaching five-figure valuations will largely depend on a clear US regulatory policy and supportive macroeconomic conditions, both of which are important for the continued institutionalization of Ethereum as a stablecoin and real-world asset token.
For now, ETH is trading below its 30-day moving average with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) selling at 30, which has resulted in its lowest price since May 2025.
